A personal touch to your garden landscape

Gardening season has started and many people are looking for ways to enhance their garden landscaping without spending a lot of money. For garden enthusiasts having a show piece in their gardens is as important as the plants and flowers themselves. Here are a few ways to add that little something extra to your own landscape.
A water feature is a wonderful addition to any garden landscape. By adding a water feature to your garden will not only make the space beautiful but can also provide a place to relax at the end of a long day. Water features do not need to cost a lot of money and can quite easily be made from materials you already have, such as clay pots and garden stones and since most garden centers carry the start up kits to make the water features it is a quick and easy project. The most difficult decision will be what materials to use to make up your feature.
Another great idea is to add handmade sculptures and art to your garden area. Personalized stepping stones and small statues are increasingly popular in many landscape designs. Using handprint stepping stone kits create an area in your garden that is personalized by your family. There are many different types of kits available or you can make your own for a fraction of the cost by simply using quick dry concrete and disposable pie tins. Make the stones personal by adding colorful stones, marbles, mosaic tiles or sea shells. When the stones are finished, use them to make the walkway to your garden area, or even to outline a patio space.
Having a beautiful garden shouldn’t cost a lot of money, a little time, energy and creativity will create a space that is just right for you and your family.
