African Crafts

Crafts like any work of art have huge follower-ship across the world. In some parts of the world, crafts are even more popular than paintings. Physio Jobs are as scarce as it is to find craftsmen especially when compared to how the field had many professionals back in the days. There is a difference between the ways craftsmen operate here in Europe and in Africa for example. In Europe, it is more developed in terms of access and publicity. Here, it is also possible to buy from a credible source online or even visit an organised exhibition. It is not that easy in most African countries for craftsmen to exhibit their products or showcase their talents all by themselves. This however does not undermine the originality of their work. The craftsmen are exceptionally brilliant at what they do.

In Africa, creativity is part of the work. They paint exceptional stories with their crafts and you only have to see to believe. Most of the old men who have crafts shops have no formal education but learnt the trade from their fathers and even their fathers learnt it from the older generation. They are mostly proud of their work and these are people who have forty to fifty (some have more) years’experience in the art of craft making. They however don’t get much money, because they sell these art pieces at a cheap price and most crafts people are not rich. If they have access to enough publicity, their work I promise would be world beaters.
