Crafts- its importance is diminishing

Use of technology has simplified the process of maintaining records in offices and workplaces. However, it has, inadvertently, affected the creative abilities of employees and individuals in charge of records maintenance. There was a time when individuals could intuitively assess the layout of the ledger or notebook used to maintain records. Unlike the software applications we use today, it was not possible to make changes to the layout and design of the ledgers and records once it had been established.

This often required individuals to be as creative as possible. Well, you would be surprised to know that this use of creativity at office invariably helped hone the overall creative skills of the individual. Today, using a data matching software application requires no creativity whatsoever. You just have to spend some time understanding how the software works and your job is done. It is not surprising that people are barely spending time doing crafts as a hobby.

Paper cutting or other creative craft activities with such materials require a lot of skills. What is important is that this creativity should be learnt in a very intuitive manner. Nobody can teach to how to decorate paper art that you have created. It is something that you will have to assess and assimilate on your own. Students may spend time getting formal training and education about craft activities but old persons have no further opportunities.
This is evident from the fact that craft is no longer considered a hobby as important as drawing or painting. Well, this is a pity because it is preventing individuals from developing certain skills that contributed a lot to work personality. It is not just about the final product that is created. It is also about the process through which the individual learn more about his or her skills and improve upon the same.
